How do I install SUB-STR8?
SUB-STR8 is installed in the same fashion as other ramp surfaces. We recommend countersinking a 3/8” hole without a pilot hole and affixing the material to the joists with 2-½” Titanic Ramp Anchors or 2” #12 sheet metal screws.
What kind of screws do you recommend for the installation of SUB-STR8?
The best fasteners on the market for structure dedicated for action sports (i.e. skateboarding, BMX, & in-line skating) are Titanic Ramp Anchors. These square drive fasteners give your ramp the strength needed to endure the high impact usage delivered by action sports. (Please see our Product Info page to learn more about Titanic Ramp Fasteners)
What spacing do you recommend for SUB-STR8?
A consistent space of approximately the width of a nickel or a #8 screw is recommended. This space will allow the frame work of your structure to expand and contract without harming the surface. On another note it is always recommended for the final layer (Ramp Armor ®) to be staggered over the seams of the underlayment.
